GENTAUR Oxidative Stress Markers

JaICA New 8-OHdG Check ELISA
8-hydroxy-2'-deoxyguanosine (8-OHdG) is a product of oxidative damaged DNA formed by hydroxy radical, singlet oxygen and direct photodynamic action.
We provide two types of 8-OHdG ELISA kits with different assay range. New 8-OHdG Check ELISA is suitable for urine and serum sample from animal and human. If you are planning to measure 8-OHdG in human serum, tissue, cultured cells, we recommend to use 'Highly Sensitive 8-OHdG Check ELISA'.

Thiobarbituric Acid Reactive Substances

Measurement of Thiobarbituric Acid Reactive Substances (TBARS) is the gold standard for assay of oxidative stress. This rapid, easy-to-use procedure has been modified by researchers for use with many types of samples including drugs, food products and human and animal biological tissues. The OXI-TEK TBARS assay kit is a calibrated kit designed for the measurement of oxidative stress in biological samples. This assay may be used for testing antioxidants and drugs.

Assay Designs Oxidative Stress products
ROS commonly refers to speroxide anions, hydrohen peroxide, hypohalous acid and hydroxyl radicals. ROS may lead to the oxidative damage of virtually any molecule. Degradation of proteins by free-radicals induces stress proteins which include: Heme Oxygenase-1 and -2, Superoxide Dismutase, Ubiquitin, Catalase and Glutathione peroxidase, among others. As overproduction of ROS has been associated with many diseases, these regulatory proteins have drawn great interest as potential therapeutic markers.

Ab Front Superoxide Dismutase ELISA Kits

Superoxide dismutase (SOD) is an antioxidant enzyme involved in the defense system against ROS. SOD-1 is found in all eukaryotic species containing one each of Cu and Zn ion per subunit. The manganese containing enzyme SOD2, is located in the mitochondrial matrix in close proximity to a primary endogenous source of superoxide, the mitochondrial respiratory chain. SOD-3 is a heparin-binding multimer, primarily expressed in human lungs, vessel walls and airways.
